Dermot McNulty Bath Rugby Foundation Bike Ride
23 Feb 2016
I have been looking for a challenge for a while and although tried a couple of Marathons in the past this 700km cycle from the South to the North of Ireland in 4 and 1/2 days really attracted me partly due the Irish blood in me.
The main challenge is that I am not and never have been anything more than a casual cyclist and I will have to tackle on average 140km a day, over very undulating terrain.
The bike and kit was a mystery to me but it seems that I have now become a fully fledged MAMIL!*
It has come as a shock just how much mileage that I will need to do over the next 15 weeks to get to the starting line in Cork on 13th June.
All your generous contributions will be going to such an excellent cause it really will be worthwhile for so many.
Also everyone who sponsors me will get the chance to win a signed Bath Rugby Shirt (all sponsors names will go into a hat, with the winner drawn as soon as I reach my fundraising target of £2,500).
Thank you, in advance for your generous support.
